Charles Evan Crawford Jr.

Charles Evan Crawford Jr., 74, of Advance, passed away on June 27, 2019 in Winston-Salem, NC while under the care of the K.B. Reynold’s Hospice House.

Charles was born February 10, 1945 in Goldsboro, NC, a son to the late Charles Evan Crawford Sr. and Eugenia Rollins Crawford. He attended and graduated from Davie High School with the Class of 1963. In 1965, he married Linda Faye Bodenheimer. Charles was preceded in death by both of his parents, his son Christopher Shane Crawford and his brother Johnny Crawford.

In life, Charles worked as a truck driver for Vulcan and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by a large and loving family, including his wife of 54 years, Linda Faye Crawford, daughter Tammy Lynn Crawford of Advance, daughter Heather Renee Crawford of Advance, sister Lynda Jean Wentz of Asheville, three grandchildren Elizabeth Wright (Vaughn), Charlie Marie Colbert and Grace Lynn Roesch, two great-grandchildren Landon C. Wright and Jaelynn Wright.

Funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Charles’ honor can be made to Trellis Supportive Care.
