Bruce Franklin Jerrett, 69, passed away Sunday morning, December 2, 2018, at Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte. He was born January 12, 1949, in Bel Air, Maryland, the son of the late Frank and Eva Maude Worrell Jerrett. On June 1, 2003, he married Grace Ann Hess in Winston-Salem, NC.
He was a Vietnam Veteran who served honorably in the US Army and was a member of American Legion Post 290 in King, NC. He loved to buy watches and to “tinker” and fix things. He also enjoyed fishing and drawing as a pastime.
In addition to his wife, Grace, he is survived by one son, Matthew Warren Bell; a daughter, Christina Elizabeth Cook (Joshua) of Advance; and three sisters: Barbara Moxley (Lowell) and Martha Madary (John), both of Maryland, and Joan Jerrett of Minnesota.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 8, at Davie Funeral Chapel with Pastor Billy Louya of Freedom Baptist Church officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard and the NC Army National Guard Honors Team.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be considered to the American Legion or to the ASPCA.
