Betty Dawn Baker

Betty “Dawn” Baker, 61, of Statesville, NC, passed away April 30, 2019 at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville.

Dawn was born in Ashe County, NC on January 21, 1958, the daughter of the late Glen and Virginia Sheets. She was also preceded in death by a son Timothy Eugene Elliott, granddaughter Ashland Faith Elliott, sisters Bobbie Marsh, Jean Campbell, brothers Bill Sheets, Gale Sheets.

Dawn attended Ashe County, NC schools. She was a truck driver for Lee Jeans. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church of Troutman, NC.

Survivors include her daughters Deanna Elliott-Beebe (fiance Rex Cockerham) of Statesville, NC, and Jennifer Elliott-Pokorny; brother Kenneth Sheets of Sparta, NC; sisters Helen Phillips and Sharon Johnson both of West Jefferson, NC, and Joanne Shore of Statesville, NC; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 6:00pm Saturday May 25, 2019 at Davie Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be held 5:00PM Saturday May 25, 2019 at Davie Funeral Service.
