Paul Michael Sawicki

Paul Michael Sawicki, 67, of Cornatzer Road, died Friday, February 14, 2014, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  He was born in Lynn, Massachusetts, on June 28, 1946.  He was the son of the late Alexander M. Sawicki and Frances Irene Glabicky Sawicki.  Mr. Sawicki attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Mocksville.  He worked for Overhead Handling as a sales representative and also worked for 10 years as an engineer for Ingersoll-Rand Company.

Survivors include his lifetime companion, Sandra Strickland and her granddaughter, Destiny Strickland of Mocksville; two sons, James M. (Deborah) Sawicki of Charlotte and Troy J. Sawicki of Waynesboro, PA; one daughter, Lisa M. Sawicki of Venice, FL; two brothers, Victor (Pat) Sawicki of Rhode Island and Phil (Rose) Sawicki of Belchertown, MA; five grandchildren, Mattieu Sawicki-Johnson, Denique Mayfield, Raziya White, Luke Sawicki and Allison Sawicki.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at 2:00 PM in the Davie Funeral Service Chapel with Deacon John Zimmerle officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.
