Jerry Doyle Dwiggins         

Jerry Doyle Dwiggins, 73, of Middleton Lane, Advance, died on Monday, July 23, 2012, at Forsyth Medical Center.  Born in Davie County on May 23, 1939, he was the son of the late Rufus Dwiggins, Sr. and Pearl Hendren Dwiggins.  He was employed in auto sales by Ford Motor Co. and also had owned a bar in South Carolina.  He was also a member of Center United Methodist Church.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Sherrie Benson Dwiggins, of the home; a son, Kelly Dwiggins, of Virginia; 2 step-sons, Luke Benson and Kyle Rook, of the home; 3 daughters, Teresa (Jerry) D. Banton of Conover, NC, Dawn and Leeann of Virginia; 4 sisters, Mildred D. Phelps of Cleveland, NC, Katherine (Frank) McCormick and Sue Livengood, both of Yadkinville, and Diane (Bill) White of Mocksville, and 9 grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Billy, John, and Rufus, Jr. Dwiggins.

A Celebration of Life Service for Jerry will be on Friday, July, 27, at 3:00 p.m. in the Davie Funeral Service Chapel with Chaplain Fred Moretz officiating.  Burial will be in the Center United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 26, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
